Express Advising
Express Advising is designed for brief, time-sensitive questions that can typically be addressed in 10–15 minutes. If your situation requires a more in-depth conversation, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with an Academic Advisor.
- Available: Monday–Friday, 10:00am–12:00pm and 1:00pm–3:00pm
- Location: Undergraduate Success Lab (1041 BIF)
- Check-In: Bring your iCard and check in at the front desk
Common topics include:
- Adding or dropping a course
- Registration issues or errors
- Clarification of forms, policies, and procedures
- Questions about academic processes
Peer Advising
Peer Advisors are trained Gies Business undergraduate students who provide guidance from a student perspective. They work closely with the Academic Advising team and can help you navigate academic planning, curriculum requirements, and campus resources.
- Available: Monday–Thursday, 11:00am–3:00pm
- Location: Undergraduate Success Lab (1041 BIF)
- Check-In: Bring your iCard and check in at the front desk.
Common topics include:
- Course planning and scheduling
- Exploring majors and academic interests
- Questions about coursework and student experiences
- General academic guidance from a peer perspective
